Green Wood Snake

The Green Wood Snake is the latest in the David Oscarson™ series of Limited Edition Writing Instruments. Produced in five new color variations, each will be limited to just eight pieces (including Fountain Pen and Roller Ball styles), making this one of the most exclusive releases yet.

In the Chinese zodiac, 2025 is the Year of the Wood Snake, also known as the Year of the Green Snake, as the Wood element is associated with the color green. This symbolic year begins on January 29, 2025, marking a time of transformation, wisdom, and renewal.

Symbolism of the Green Wood Snake:

  • The Snake – The sixth animal in the Chinese zodiac, representing complexity, mystery, initiation, and transformation.

  • Wood Element – Brings growth, renewal, and innovation, making this year a time for creativity, introspection, and nurturing.

  • Green Color – Associated with wisdom, calmness, and evolution, signifying personal and collective growth.

  • Key Themes – The year is expected to bring transformation, focus, and progress, making it an ideal time for new beginnings.

The Green Wood Snake Collection follows the legacy of David Oscarson’s Chinese Zodiac series. Crafted from .925 Sterling Silver, this intricate design incorporates multiple levels of diamond-cut Guilloché engraving and a combination of Translucent and Opaque Hard Enamels. These enamels are repeatedly kiln-fired and filed by hand, resulting in a stunning and enduring finish worthy of this remarkable collection.

The ancient Chinese symbol for Snake is inlaid in Opaque Black Hard Enamel on the top dome of the pen cap, while the symbol for Wood (representing strength and renewal) repeats in high relief around the top of the cap and bottom of the barrel. The modern Chinese symbol for Wood appears in Opaque Black Hard Enamel inlaid into the bottom end of the pen barrel, completing this celebration of transformation, wisdom, and craftsmanship.

This limited-edition release is a tribute to the Year of the Green Wood Snake—a time for evolution, creativity, and success.

This version now reflects five color variations, each limited to eight pieces.
